The p tag starts a paragraph. The tag breaks the current line, skips a line,
then continues subsequent text on the next line. The p tag is often used
immediately after lists, figures, and other constructions to provide space
between the construction and subsequent text.
This tag does not use parameters.
Comments
If the p tag is used in a list, subsequent text aligns with the text of the
list item.
Example
This example uses the p tag to create a paragraph and to insert space at the
end of a list:
When you finish copying files to a disk, remove the disk.

To remove a disk
<ol>
<li>Open drive door.
<li>Remove disk.
<li>Put disk in safe place.
</ol>
<p>
You can always restore your files by copying them back from
the disk.
When displayed, the example looks like this:
