 <xmp>

The xmp tag creates an example. An example is one or more lines of text
displayed exactly as given. The tag turns off formatting, so lines do not
wrap. In the help source file, the example must start with the xmp tag and
end with the /xmp tag.

This tag does not use parameters.

Comments

An example is displayed using monospaced fonts. Different letters in a
monospace font have the same widths, so aligning letters in the source file
guarantees that the letters will align when displayed.

Any tab character in an example is interpreted as a single character and
does not align text on the next tab stop.

Example

This example uses the xmp tag to create a program example:

    <xmp>
    main()
    {
        printf("Hello");
    }
    </xmp>

When displayed, the example looks like this:

    main()
    {
        printf("Hello");
    }
